Hancrafted mdf and  kalamkari fabric studs. Cutting waste generated during garment product has been used to fashion these beautiful studs. Fabric has is inserted into mdf framed , trimmed and pasted to create these mdf earrings.

The fashion industry generates a huge amount of cutting waste, 15% to be precise. In this collection we've taken the excess fabric and upcycled them into beautiful jewellery, contributing to a sustainable society.

I was married at the age of 16. My education was cut short and I soon began a domestic life in a new city with my husband. Recently we have been facing financial difficulties, being a mother of three I could not step away from home for work. Abira gave me opportunity to work within the proximity of my home.
